

Environmental; Land Use and Government Relations
Mr. Cole’s practice primarily focuses on all legal matters related to the investigation, permitting and remediation of environmental concerns at commercial development sites throughout the United States. In addition to experience related to typical Phase I and Phase II environmental matters (e.g. USTs, dry cleaner contamination, brownfields, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA, and similar state regulatory programs), he also has significant experience in other environmental areas including asbestos, wetlands, protected species and cultural resources.
Mr. Cole also assists lending clients and borrowers in understanding and managing environmental risks and liabilities associated with loan acquisition and refinancing of commercial properties. In addition, Mr. Cole assists in litigation and administrative compliance matters arising as a result of environmental compliance issues, including storm water related violations. Mr. Cole has also developed experience in other practice areas including zoning, land use, government relations and real estate transactions, among others.
