Mr. Sandler’s practice areas have developed following his prior work experience as a city planner and civil engineer with Fulton County, Georgia and graduate work at the Georgia Institute of Technology in the areas of civil engineering and city planning. Mr. Sandler leads HSSW’s Land Use & Government Relations, Construction & Sustainable Development and Environmental Law practice areas. His environmental activities on behalf of firm clients include employing consulting firms, negotiating documents allocating remediation responsibility and pursuing liability protections when and where available. In the area of construction law, Mr. Sandler has negotiated numerous construction contracts for retail facilities, office buildings and multi-family developments. Mr. Sandler’s governmental compliance activities have included negotiating public/private development agreements, condemnation representation, pursuing re-zonings throughout the Southeast, general resolution of permitting issues, subdivision compliance and other related activities.
