Mr. Cole practices in the areas of environmental and land use law. He provides diverse practical and legal knowledge in multiple environmental media for corporate and individual clients. Mr. Cole’s current practice focuses on all legal matters related to the investigation, permitting and remediation of environmental concerns at commercial development sites and operational facilities throughout the United States.
Education
Mr. Cole received his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1996. While attending Chicago-Kent, he completed the certificate program in Environmental and Energy Law. Mr. Cole attended the University of Missouri-Columbia as an undergraduate, where he received his B.A. degree in Philosophy with a minor in Biological Sciences.

Mr. Cole has practiced in Atlanta since 1996 in the areas of environmental law, land use law and energy law, in both the regulatory and litigation contexts.
Illustrative Background
Mr. Cole has practiced in the environmental legal areas of water quality and treatment, hazardous waste management and investigation, and solid waste management. Additionally, he has practiced under a broad spectrum of environmental and regulatory schemes including the Federal Clean Water Act, CERCLA, RCRA, FIFRA, and similar state regulatory programs. While pursuing his interests in Environmental Law, Mr. Cole has also developed related practice areas which include zoning, land use and real estate transactions, among others.
