Ms. Kilberg’s practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate law with an emphasis on retail and multi-use development, acquisition and leasing.
Education
After graduating with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 1977, Ms. Kilberg matriculated at the Emory University School of Law where she earned her J.D. with distinction in 1980. While at Emory she was elected to the Order of the Coif and won American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts. She served as Articles Editor on the Emory Law Journal. Ms. Kilberg later attended Georgia State University’s graduate program in translation and received a Certificate in Spanish-English translation in 1982.

Professional Experience
Ms. Kilberg began her legal career at the Atlanta firm of Cofer, Beauchamp & Hawes, where she practiced from 1980 to 1985, primarily in the areas of commercial real estate and corporate/immigration law. From 1985 through 1986, she supervised the immigration law practice for the Atlanta firm of Glass, McCullough, Sherrill & Harrold. From 1986 to 1989, she worked in the West Palm Beach Florida office of Greenberg, Traurig, where she practiced in the area of commercial real estate with a concentration in planned unit developments and condominium law.

Ms. Kilberg has concentrated her practice in the area of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including all aspects of shopping center, multi-use and urban development including negotiation and documentation of land acquisition, reciprocal easement and development agreements, ground leases, build to suit leases, loan documentation, and representation of institutional and major development firms in regional malls, power centers, multi-use retail, office and residential developments, and urban redevelopment projects. She has directed teams of attorneys and paralegals in the comprehensive representation of landlords and national anchor and regional retail tenants.

Ms. Kilberg is the author of The Impact of the Ex Post Facto Clause on Sherman Act Prosecutions for the Emory Law Journal and co-author of Starting and Operating a Business in Georgia, published by Oasis Press.
Membership
Ms. Kilberg enjoys memberships in the State Bars of Georgia and Florida. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a member of the Board of Directors for CREW Atlanta.
