Mr. Rothschild’s practice areas include real estate, with an emphasis on retail acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing. Mr. Rothschild also enjoys extensive experience in real estate finance.
Education
After graduating cum laude from Tufts University in 1981, Mr. Rothschild matriculated at the University of Georgia School of Law where he earned his J.D. cum laude in 1984. While at the University of Georgia he won an American Jurisprudence Award in contracts. Mr. Rothschild later attended Emory University where he received an LL.M. (Taxation) in 1986.

Professional Experience
Mr. Rothschild has practiced in the areas of corporate law and tax and has extensive experience in general corporate and partnership issues with a strong tax flavor. Since 1986, Mr. Rothschild has concentrated on commercial real estate.
Illustrative Background
Involved in retail real estate leasing from both the landlord and tenant side with tenant’s ranging in size from less than 1,000 feet to anchor department store leases for stores greater than 100,000 square feet, Mr. Rothschild has also represented local small shop tenants, national small and mid-size tenants, and anchor tenants in both strip shopping centers and malls. He possesses wide experience in representing landlords in various leasing activities, including office and industrial properties. Mr. Rothschild has worked extensively on shopping center developments, from land acquisition through construction and disposition. He has represented both lenders and borrowers in real estate related finance and has served as local counsel for several large inter-state financing transactions.

Mr. Rothschild often speaks at leasing seminars for the International Conference of Shopping Centers and other real estate related seminars.
Membership
Mr. Rothschild is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Real Property section). He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
