Mr. Walsh received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Political Science and history from the State University of New York at Brockport in 1978. He earned a J.D. with honors from the Temple University School of Law in 1982.

Mr. Walsh worked as senior counsel at Mutual of New York Life Insurance Company from 1993 to 1998.

Mr. Walsh's responsibilities have included representation of clients in a variety of transactions including development, leasing, sales and acquisitions and lending. Mr. Walsh's work has included preparing comprehensive standard form lease documents for office and retail properties and conducting extensive negotiations with nationally recognized tenants leasing space at company-owned properties. Mr. Walsh has also been an active participant in the creation and dissolution of joint ventures, worked closely with outside counsel to coordinate legal and business objectives in large restructure transactions and foreclosure proceedings. He has negotiated and drafted management agreements with third party property managers and coordinated franchise agreements with a major hotel chain. Mr. Walsh has also been extensively involved in all phases of commercial lending, from loan applications through closing. Mr. Walsh has drafted numerous complex documents related to troubled real estate loans as well as negotiated detailed workout strategies with borrowers.
Publications & Presentation
Mr. Walsh has been a past panelist at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Law Conference and co-authored the chapter, Legal Issues, that appears in Shopping Center Management published by the ICSC.
