Hartman, Simons, Spielman & Wood's Institutional Investment and Finance Practice Group is distinguished by the breadth of both the legal and business experience of its attorneys. The senior attorneys in the Practice Group average almost 20 years of practice. This depth of experience provides a potent combination of legal expertise and business acumen in structuring and closing debt and equity investments for lenders and other institutional investors. As a result of our experience, our attorneys are uniquely attuned to the business, legal and practical needs of our bank, insurance company, real estate investment trust, and pension fund advisor clients and their customers and our primary focus in each transaction is to bring the transaction to a successful conclusion for all parties as efficiently as possible. Our attorneys realize that no one, not our clients or their customers, is making any money while the deal sits on our desk.
The debt side of our practice includes both real estate and corporate financing. Our real estate financing practice includes acquisition and development, construction, rehab, permanent, mini-perm, and securitized loans, and sale-leaseback transactions ranging in size from $250,000 to $250,000,000 and involving all property types (including retail, office, multi-family, hotel, warehouse and golf course properties). The corporate side of our financing practice includes revolving lines of credit, asset-based, receivable, equipment and inventory financing again ranging in size from a few hundred thousand dollars to hundreds of millions of dollars. On the equity side, our Practice Group works closely with a myriad of institutional investors and their advisors in various equity investment structures including joint ventures, partnerships and limited liability companies again in all property types.
Our attorneys have practiced
and continue to practice throughout the country. In the last
four (4) years HSSW's attorneys have closed transactions in
46 states. Our clients appreciate this level of expertise
as it allows them to work with one law firm as their business
partner which results in consistency of work product, economies
of scale and superior service.
