Permitting & Licensing

HSSW assists in procuring the permits and licenses required to support development plans. We work closely with state, county and local governing agencies to ensure your project is in compliance and roadblocks are avoided throughout the development cycle. We routinely prepare and present compelling and logical presentations to civic leaders, planning commissions and zoning boards.

Private Property Rights

HSSW protects the rights of private property owners when the government exercises its right of eminent domain. We work to negotiate fair and equitable compensation for a landowner’s asset as well as minimize the potential impact of condemnation actions.

Public-Private Partnerships

HSSW ensures our clients maximize available public funds. We negotiate agreements between clients, local and state governments and economic development entities in effort to secure TADs, TIFs, IDDs, SPLOSTs, LCIs, PILOT bonds, tax credits and other economic incentives that offset development costs. We also understand Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and assist clients in evaluating and participating in these programs.
